There are so many things to do in Santa Barbara from eating to beach.
Food
The food scene in SB is UNBELIEVABLE! I was given a list of recommendation and although I was unable to hit up all the spots, but I did eat at a couple and it was good.
This place is good if you’re in the mood for Asian food with a twist. They offer Vietnamese wings, crispy duck salad, pavlova, etc. I previously wrote about this restaurant, check it out if you haven’t already.
A nice place to have brunch with outdoor seating only. If you’re on the waitlist, they text when it’s your turn. They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch and they're portions are HUGE, it's good for sharing.
I didn’t know I had to make a reservation, but when I got there the place was packed. So, I didn’t get a chance to go in. From what I’ve seen and heard, this place seemed to be poppin’. They offer authentic Spanish cuisine from cold to hot tapas to seasonal paella.
The beach is at the end of State Street, you can have a beach day before you do some shopping or try some restaurants. You can also walk the pier or drive into it. There are shops and restaurant.
Day Trips
Want to get out of the city? Take a ride to the nearby cities.
A little Dutch down about 30 minutes from Santa Barbara. Unless you make it at home, this is the place to go to get aebelskivers that tastes closest to the one’s from Denmark. You can also walk around to look at the windmills and the architecture.
How awesome is that there's an ostrich farm in California? Never in my life did I think that I would ever get to see ostriches and emus. They are very aggressive, but it was awesome to be some close and to feed them.
It's a small town, very small. The majority of the stores are wine tastings, but there is one that stood out: Olive Hill Farm. It's a balsamic and olive oil tasting, if that's something you're into.
If you get a chance to go to any of these places, leave a comment below. I'd love to know about your experiences.
