HIIII!
I'm SOOOO excited that we're going to Sequoia! But now what?
Jo has never been so I'm finally taking him!! I want to hit all the major spots, but we only have 1 day there. The other days will be spent visiting family in Visalia.
Sequoia is HUGE! so it has to be planned carefully, but if since my boyfriend and I only have the weekend here's our plan.
Day 0 - the day before the trip
Pack up and be ready to go! Since it's for a week, we're going to try not to pack too much.

Day 1 - the drive
We have to work the morning of the drive, so it's gonna be rough that night. The drive isn't that bad, it's JUST 4 hours long (excluding the bathroom breaks). We've done this drive before just not right after an 8 hour shift, but it is what it is.
We will be checking in to the hotel in Visalia around 10 PM at night. So before we hit the road, you bet we will be stocking up on food and snacks.
Day 2 - the hike
Sequoia is SOOOO big that we will not be able to hit every single attraction, but we will definitely not miss the giant trees. Here's what we plan to do:

After that long of a day, we are going to be eating a home cooked meal with my 2 brother's that lives up there. The most important thing is that I get some sugarcane juice from my brother (it's DELICIOUS!). Then we will go back to our hotel and get a night's sleep and prepare for the drive home!
Day 3 - going home
We will wake up fairly early to have breakfast at the hotel and then pack up to check out. Our goal is to be home by 3:30 PM (but also avoid the LA traffic) because Jo has to attend class that night. We might not be able to stop by anywhere to eat this trip, but there will be more trips like this in the future.
I'm super excited for this trip because it's Jo's first time, but it's also his birthday week. We are especially excited for the hike and to see all the giant trees.
